2025 McLean County Fair

Allowed & Prohibited Items

Our McLean County Fair safety & security program includes walk-through metal detectors at all entry gates. All bags, purses, strollers, etc. will be subject to search at each of the entry gates.

Prohibited items include:

  • Weapons of any kind, including but not limited to: firearms, knives, tasers or objects that appear to be weapons
  • Fireworks or other explosive and flammable objects
  • Outside alcoholic beverages or any illegal substance
  • Drones or any remote-controlled toys
  • Bikes, skateboards, skates, hoverboards, electric scooters
  • Pets, including emotional support animals (Service animals allowed)
  • Face coverings intended to conceal wearer’s identity (religious and health reasons permitted)

Other items may be refused at the discretion of McLean County Fair management, security personnel or law enforcement.

Can I bring outside food and drinks onto the fairgrounds?

Yes, fair guests are welcome to bring outside food and drinks. No alcoholic beverages may be brought into the fair. Outside food and drinks are not allowed in the Grandstand.

Can I bring in a backpack, bag or cooler?

Yes. Backpacks, bags and small coolers/lunch bags are permitted on the fairgrounds, but are subject to search. Outside food and drinks are not allowed in the Grandstand.

Can I bring my pet to the fair?

No, pets are not allowed on fairgrounds during the McLean County Fair. Only service dogs or specific animals approved as part of exhibition in the 4-H Show, Jr Show or Premier Livestock Classic. Service dogs are those that have been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Can I bring my own electric mobility scooter, stroller, wagons or wheelchair?

Yes, you can! Individuals are welcome to bring electric mobility scooter, stroller, wagon, wheelchair and personal conveyance vehicles (PCVs) on the fairgrounds. Please note: some areas of the fairgrounds are gravel or grass

Any golf carts or ATVs must receive prior approval from McLean County Fair staff and display a decal. Submit your request to [email protected]

Accessibility

Where do I find handicap parking?

Handicap parking is available near the South Gate and the North Gate as indicated on the fairgrounds map. Please note: All of the parking at the fair is on grass, not on concrete.

Our Senior Shuttle service will provide golf cart rides from the parking areas to the fairgrounds Wednesday – Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Is the grandstand handicap accessible?

Yes, the grandstand bleachers are accessible by ramp and there are spaces available for wheel chair seating.

Are ATMs available?

Yes, ATMs are located by the main gate, north gate, food court, inside the Mini Expo (Rabbit & Poultry Barn). A $4 service fee applies to all transactions and you may be subject to additional surcharges depending on your banking provider. Click here for a fair map.

Are credit/debit cards accepted at the Fair?

Yes. Credit/debit cards can be used at any fair entrance gate, at the fair ticket office, at the grandstand/beer tent and in the carnival area. Individual merchandise vendors and food vendors may accept credit/debit cards at their own discretion. Processing fees may apply.

Where can I find baby changing/nursing facilities?

Baby changing stations are availble in the Women’s Restrooms in the Mini Expo (Rabbit & Poultry Barn), West Expo (4-H Building) and Barn B (Beef/Dairy Barn). A nursing room is available in the Mini Expo (Rabbit & Poultry Barn). Click here for a fair map.

Where do I find restrooms?

Restrooms are located in the Mini Expo (Rabbit & Poultry Barn), West Expo (4-H Building and Barn B (Beef/Dairy Barn). Portable restrooms are located throughout the fairgrounds. Click here for a fair map.

Hand wash stations are also available near the food court, carnival and livestock buildings.

Where do I find first aid?

First aid is located at the north end of the food court. Any fair staff member with a radio can contact first responders on the grounds. Security personnel and police officers are also on the grounds daily. Click here for a fair map.

Are there places to wash/sanitize hands?

Yes, hand wash stations are available near livestock barns, food court and carnival areas. Visitors strongly advised to wash hands after visiting any barns and before eating any food items.

Where do I find air conditioned space on the fairgrounds?

The front of the Mini Expo (Rabbit & Poultry Barn), the West Expo (4-H Building) and the Food & Farm Fun Zone are all air conditioned spaces.

What should I do in the case of inclement weather?

McLean County Fair activities and events will be held rain or shine, but severe weather may lead to adjustments or cancellations. In case of severe weather, any updates, schedule changes or cancellations will be posted on our website and Facebook page. Ticket purchases are nonrefundable.
